This world map shows each country's ability to adapt to climate change's negative effects using GAIN (Global Adaptation Index) This index measures a country's ability to adapt to the negative effects of climate change, including the country's exposure, sensitivity and capacity to adapt. Higher numbers indicate a country is less vulnerable.

The countries with the greatest adaptability to the negative impact caused by climate change, with a climate score of more than 60, include the United States, Canada, France, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, Ireland, Iceland, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Czechia, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and Japan. The remining countries are broken down by region. In North America, Mexico has an adaptability between 40 and 49. In Central America, Costa Rica has an adaptability between 50 and 60. The remining countries have adaptability between 40 and 49. In South America, Chile and Uruguay have adaptability between 50 and 60. The remaining countries have adaptability between 40 and 49. In Africa, Morocco, Tunisia and Botswana are between 50 and 60. Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Chana, Toto, Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Tanzania, Zambia, Namibia, Djibouti and South Africa are between 40 and 49. The remaining countries are less than 40. South Sudan is not reporting data. In Europe, Italy, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Northern Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus are between 50 and 60. In Southwest Asia, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are between 50 and 60. Iraq and Lebanon are between 40 and 49. Syria and Yemen are below 40. In Central Asia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are between 50 and 60. Turkmenistan and Tajikistan are between 40 and 49. Afghanistan is below 40. In South Asia, Thailand is between 50 and 60. India, Nepal, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Vietnam and Bhutan are between 40 and 49. Myanmar and Bangladesh are below 40. In East Asia, China and Mongolia are between 50 and 60. North Korea is between 40 and 49. Taiwan is not reporting data. In Oceania, Malaysia is between 50 and 60. Indonesia and the Philippines are between 40 and 49. Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands are less than 40.
