Areas of the world affected by tropical cyclones. In the Americas, tropical cyclones are known as hurricanes; in the western Pacific Ocean, they are known as typhoons; and in the Indian Ocean, they are known as cyclones.

Atlantic Ocean: Including the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean Sea, and extending towards the eastern United States and parts of Central America.

Indian Ocean: Covering areas around the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

Western Pacific Ocean: Extending from the Philippines, Vietnam, and Cambodia to the eastern coasts of China and Japan.

Eastern Pacific Ocean: Including the coastal regions of Mexico and parts of Central America.

Southern Hemisphere: Affecting regions around Madagascar, parts of Australia, the South Pacific islands (Fiji, Samoa), and the eastern coasts of Africa.
